Anne Brown

Anne Brown is Development Officer: Learning at Bradford Libraries.  After a Botany degree she completed graduate nursing & midwifery courses, had a family and came late into libraries. Anne values her current job as an opportunity to provide learning opportunities for people.  Life is too short for everything she wants to do! Anne loves her garden and allotment, also photography, travelling and walking (particularly up Munros).

The Bradford Care Trust/Libraries Partnership Project

Initially providing accommodation within the Library for Bradford Care Trust's Signposting Service for people with learning disabilities, and a Changing Places personal care facility, Bradford Library Service now actively provides learning opportunities for service users. They offer supported IT courses and Book Chat groups and also host ground-breaking courses for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
