Susan Tailby

Susan has worked in Further Education libraries in Hampshire in various roles since 1997. She is inspired by public libraries' and bookshops' customer service skills and customer friendly layouts.  Susan has collaboratively promoted literacy, including developing ESOL reading groups and promoting a reading scheme to 78 Adult Literacy and ESOL students.

Captive audiences: providing added value and enrichment activities for your students

In Further Education we have ready audiences and opportunities. This interactive workshop seeks to share experiences of adding value to student and tutor experiences in FE colleges. Themes covered include literacy promotion, fiction and DVD collections, reading schemes and groups, and collaborative working with tutors and public libraries.
