Rebecca Bond

Rebecca Bond is the new Marketing & Service Promotion Officer for Devon Libraries.  Rebecca joined the library service in September 2008, after spending over 9 years as a Publicity Officer for Transport Co-ordination Service (Devon County Council).  Rebecca's initial priorities are the promotion of new and refurbished libraries, continued focus on encouraging new people to join the library, producing high quality publicity, and also working closely with colleagues at all levels to improve internal communications.

M@x – clay-nine captures imaginations

M@x was developed to appeal to children in the Key Stage 2 age range and complement an already established and successful initiative for children.  M@x is a 14cms tall clay dog with a huge personality and has been used on Devon 's website and associated marketing since 2005.  The brand continues to go from strength to strength.   This session will look at the project right through from the idea stage, how it was sold to stakeholders, the establishment of the concept and examine how it continues to be effective in attracting children to interact with Devon 's Libraries www.devon.gov.uk/libraries/thezone
